The piece is constructed of planet-friendly, environment-saving, 100-percent recycled polyester fibers, including the water-resistant backing. Hand-tufted in alternating rows of loop and cut pile for texture and beauty, this rug is finished with a clean edge.
Our development team thought “Outside” the box to create this “Environmentally Friendly” collection of rugs. Starting with water resistant Recycled Polyester that is space dyed in updated fashion tones, our weavers hand craft alternating rows of cut and loop pile to achieve a sophisticated tone on tone effect. Incorporating a water resistant, Polyester backing material makes for simple water clean-up and allows for the use in “Semi outdoor” locations that may be exposed to the elements. IMPORTANT: While this product is water "resistant" and can tolerate getting wet, it is intended for use in a covered location that may occasionally be exposed to the elements. In the event of water saturation, it is VERY important that this product be lifted/ removed so that the product and surface it covers are allowed to dry completely to prevent the growth of mold
