The Momiji Statue takes the form of a Japanese maple bonsai, its hand-cast trunk twisting upward in a silhouette shaped by age and weather. In Gold, the entire tree is finished in gold leaf, from the textured bark, where the tone deepens in each recess, to the serrated maple leaves gathered along the branches. A polished Carrara marble base grounds the composition, and a felted bottom protects the surface below. Display the Momiji Statue on a mantel or foyer table, or in a living room or library, where its sweeping form brings poetic character to a considered arrangement.
